 Hello there People !!!

Introduction

First of all, let me introduce myself ! Below is a short video I created after I received admission to the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (Referred to as IIMB henceforth). The IIMB seniors had added all the new students joining the college to a google group a few months before joining the campus. They asked us to give creative introductions. Most of the responses from students were just text emails stating name, background, interests etc. and the seniors started to make fun of the new batch citing the lack of creativity. I didn't like this and I worked on this video to shut them up. 

This video will give you an idea about me, my background, interests etc. It's just a collection of slides and an accompanying audio. In case there's too much text in the slide, please stop and read. But in case you're stopping, will be great if you can watch the video once again after it gets over the first time. The music that I've added is meant to have an effect on your mind. So, please try to listen to it without pausing. Youtube took this video down citing copyright issues for the music. So,I have uploaded directly to the blog. I really hope there aren't quality issues while you watch it. Please watch it in full screen at highest quality with good speakers if possible. At the risk of sounding a little self obsessed, This is my "Big Bang" introduction \m/

Anyway, the seniors were just trying to do some light ragging I guess and all of them are good friends of mine now :)  

After IIMB, I joined Mckinsey & Co. as a management consultant. Worked on projects spanning strategy formulation and implementation across multiple sectors like fashion retail, telecom, private equity, construction, pharma etc. Post Mckinsey, i ventured into starting up. Initially, i worked as an independent  management consultant to startups, then started a business of my own in the Job-tech space. It didn't work out. But had a ton of learning. Post this, well.. i got married. And I've recently moved to Dubai, working in a bank. 

I'm looking at starting up again, focused on the India, US or Middle east markets.

Why did I start this blog?

People do a lot of things when they are young, which they would have thought was definitely the right thing to do. But with time, experience and wisdom, they realize their mistakes and think "Was that really me who did that? Was I really that stupid/crazy/idiotic to have done such a thing?"  I'm sure all of us have had such moments in life. I started this blog to create such a future moment for me.

I started this blog back in Apr 2013, a few days before I turned 24. At that point when I started, I thought of my attempt to blog as something like a start to virtual time travel. Let me explain. I'm virtually creating an opportunity for myself in the future say 30 years down the line to make a statement "Was I that insane to just create a blog 30 years back, ramble on and on about diverse life experiences, thoughts and philosophies?" And when I actually reach there, blog about the same on this blog and then possibly shut down the blog, it's a full circle of virtual life completed.

That apart, another more valid and strong reason why I started blogging is to live through the intangible medium of time as close to a tangible being throughout ages. From a mathematical point of view, I want my existence in all its grandiose and awesomeness to be digitally recorded until time = infinity which means forever.

Why do I want my life to be digitally recorded?

Reason 1: It gives me an opportunity to relive my life whenever I want from any point in time to any other point in time. I can time travel forward and backward. It's like I'm creating a movie for myself using photos, audios and videos which I can watch anytime I want from anywhere I want. That helps me relieve all the emotions of joy and sorrow, happiness and pain, anger and calmness, achievements and failures.

Reason 2: This is way more important that the first reason. At this point in time, I do not know whether I will marry or have kids or have a family but it is certainly a possibility (although the probability of me getting married is very less) But if I ever have kids and they have kids and I have an entire generation that starts from me, I want them to know who I was and how awesomely I lived my life so that they can take my life an example and live brilliant lives for themselves. This entire blog is like a movie with fun stories, music videos, a lot of photos, some extremely serious content and a lot of life advice as well. Looking at all that, my future generations should think "Oh ! This was our Father/Grandfather/Great Grandfather/Great^100 Grandfather/Great^infinity Grandfather ! This was how nuts he was ! Did he actually do something that crazy ! We definitely need to do better and live up to the legacy that he has already created" (For people not comfortable with mathematics, what I meant by Great^infinity is all my future generations that'll start from me)

When they see that I myself have done a splendid job and set a benchmark for them, that'll be the starting point for them to live their lives. And they'll do a much better job than what I've already done. And the benchmark each generation sets for the next one increases with time. And I'll ask each of them to do the same exercise of digitally creating an experience for each of their future generations.  And if they like it, they'll also create a digital copy of their lives. And I'm sure I'll inspire them and they'll also do the same exercise. Ultimately,  through a massive cascading effect across generations, I'm creating insanely awesome people who can live life to its maximum potential, contribute to society and create massive impact.

Reason 3: This is similar to reason 2 but it has a more widespread significant impact. If my blog is visited by X number of people and K people out of the X get inspired by my life and they end up starting off similar blogs tailored to their lives and using the earlier logic mentioned, if their next generations build on the benchmarks set by previous generations, it has another widespread mega-massive positive impact.

So why have I started this blog ? Because I want to relive my life whenever I feel like and I want to create an insanely awesome set of people for the planet. So, what might seem to you just like an ordinary blog post has massive global implications. You don't need to agree to it. But this is just my thinking. There's obviously the possibility of someone with ill ambitions taking my personal data/photos/videos and using it inappropriately. But when I look at the trade off between the 2 options, it's a extremely clear that having this blog is a fantastic idea.

HIGH ON LIFE

I think I need to make it very clear that I'm extremely wonderfully passionately truly madly deeply HIGH, high on nothing else but LIFE - the fact that I have been given this blessing of life and I have the opportunity to live it to the fullness I want to and well obviously, blog about the same and relive it again and again and again. I'm very sure you realize why the name of my blog is "zindaginamilegidobaraa.blogspot.in". For people who do not understand the meaning - It means "You don't get to live life a second time". I know the spelling I've used isn't correct but I really wanted this name and the feel and connect it'll give to my readers. The name with the actual spelling wasn't available and hence, I decided to go with this.

"You don't get to live life a second time" And that's a fundamental truth !  So this name is a constant reminder to all my readers and all the future generations who'll be going through this blog to accept this fundamental truth of nature and live life to their maximum potential.
